| July 2009: Kathy Chapman releases new cd "Fertile Ground" with accompaniments by Dan Scott on drums, George Chapman on bass, Roland LaPierre on guitar, Kate LaPierre on vocals and piano, Dick Amberman on piano and Hammond B3, Kerry Blount on saxophone, vocals by Patty and Darryn, and Joe Pod on guitar. Songs in a style somewhere between Nancy Griffith and Stevie Nicks; lyrics about love, loss, joy and growth.

* November 14 2008: Composer Steven Schoenberg completes the week-long recording of the score for the upcoming PBS episode of The American Experience entitled : "A Class Apart," which will air this February.
* September 2008: Greg Alexander, Brooklyn singer-songwriter begins final mixdowns. His new CD is slated for Thanksgiving 2008 release, and includes performers Guy DeVito on bass, Mitch Chakour on keyboards, Bill Klock and Sean McLoughlin on drums, Jim Armenti on guitar and Eric Lee on fiddle.
* August 2008: Six member pop band Image begins tracking a 12 song CD. A solid rhythm section and great vocals describe this band.
* July 2008: Promize finishes new CD. 11 songs span a range from heavy rock to U2 - ish blends of guitars with strong vocals.
| * October 2008: Multi-instrumentalist Peter Jones continues work on the next in his series of CD's entitled "Music for Movement."
* August 2008: Celtic Harpist Jerry Marchand completes and releases his 11th CD "Lady of the Lake" recorded at Avocet. Sales have run upwards of 24,000 copies. Jerry's music is flowing Celtic Harp improvisations with bowed psaltry, hammered dulcimer, hurdy gurdy, vocals, violin, flute and guitar.
* July 2008: Catherine Avizins of Providence Rhode Island releases a double CD set of guided visualizations as guides for meditation and slef-knowledge, based on a system of Metaphysical Healing Arts.

| • avocet wins best soundtrack award at oxford festival. At this year's Oxford Film Festival,
the reunion CD entitled "Spirit In Flesh" received the Award for Best
Soundtrack for a Feature Film. The CD was produced by Joe Pod and is
the original soundtrack album for the film "Free Spirits," directed by
Bruce Geisler.
