"Part of the credit for the nice vibes that come through on this CD goes
to the recording expertise of Joe Podlesney of Avocet Studios in
Shelburne, MA. The beautiful recording has Russell's voice clearly up
front so she sounds like she's right in your living room, even when her
voice almost whispers, as on "Body and Soul." Likewise on "Mood Indigo"
every inflection of Russell's dreamy voice is captured clearly." PAUL BURTON Music Revue Magazine
"The recording really is incredible. I can hear every vocal nuance from
singer-guitarist Sandi Russell. She has a cool, sassy, attitude-filled
voice that sometimes drops to a whisper and other times belts it out.
She really shines on " Body and Soul" and George and Ira Gershwin's " A
Foggy Day. " JENNIFER LAYTON www.Indie-Music.com

"...sweet harmonies, sliding steel and sawing fiddle--define Girl
Howdy's
genuine jukebox sound. With a few exceptions, males dominated the
post-war Honky Tonk scene. But in the 21st Century Girl Howdy
rules..."

| "I am Delta Burnett Reed, a grandmother who wanted to connect with her
grandchildren in a different way. I decided to sing for them so they
could find their way into dreamland. Gradually, people heard my c.d.
and recently many more have been asking for it. It is very exciting. I
have decided to share my music with the world." "I have been singing all my life in church choirs. They have been
instrumental in giving me the power to go beyond and out into the main
stream of music." See this CD at cdbaby.

Inspired by tales of Robin Hood and Maid Marian, Celtic harpist
Marchand presents fourteen soft and gentle instrumentals which
describe "The Blessing of Sherwood Forest" and other
scenes from Nottingham in days of olde. Featuring 25-, 36-
and 38-string harps, accompanied by violin, acoustic guitar,
flute and keyboards, the music flows effortlessly and gives
rise to reveries of sun dappled, verdant clearings where clandestine
lovers meet and dance in homage to the Green Man. Due to his
emotive technique - particularly on the wire strung harp -
Marchand`s original compositions rate as highly as the two
traditional numbers included, "Cutting of the Fern"
and "Child Grove." Taken altogether, this is a supremely
pleasant, consistently relaxing listening experience, well
suited for massage or other introspective pursuits. 14 Tracks.

“These are beautiful songs that speak to the purest, kindest aspect of
our common humanity. They give more real support and encouragement to
people facing the challenges of today’s world than any one CD I’ve ever
heard!”
